Celebrating a special occasion or marking a milestone are perfect reasons to dine at an extravagant establishment, and what better place for that celebration than at a steakhouse? Steakhouses are a wonderful backdrop to mark a milestone, but they are also a great spot to simply find a top quality cut of Grade A beef cooked to perfection.

24/7 Tempo compiled a list of the best steakhouse in each state based on reviews and ratings of some of the "most acclaimed establishments." According to the site, the best steakhouse in all of Tennessee is Folk's Folly Prime Steak House, a longtime Memphis staple that offers up a wide selection of classics and incredible cuts of steak.

Folk's Folly is located at 551 S. Mendenhall Road.

This is what 24/7 Tempo had to say about Tennessee's best steakhouse:

"Memphis-born developer Humphrey Folk, Jr. opened what calls itself 'Memphis' Original Prime Steak House' in 1977, adding 'Folly' to his own name because his friends and advisors, considering his lack of restaurant experience, thought he was made to open the place. The joke was on them because it has thrived ever since, not least because of offerings such as a 21-ounce bone-in prime Kansas City strip and a 24-ounce prime porterhouse. Other beefy choices include filet mignon medallions with Maker's mark peppercorn sauce, a petite bacon-wrapped filet with mushroom purée and slice garlic mushrooms, and Folly's Tidbits (bite-sized filet mignon pieces, battered and deep-fried and served with béarnaise)."
