Meek Mill Teams Up With Puma To Gift Backpacks To Philly Students

Okay, how amazing is this!? If there's one thing I love to see, it's to see people who are able to give back, GIVE BACK to their communities. Beyonce has done it with Houston, Chance the Rapper does it all the time in Chicago, and Meek Mill is no stranger to this as well.

Meek Mill recently teamed up with Puma, a sports apparel company, to gather and donate around 6,000 backpacks to students in his hometown of Philly! The backpacks are said to range from bags for elementary kids, up to bags for high schoolers, and it's even being reported that the backpacks are filled with the necessary supplies to tackle the new school year! The elementary bags are said to include pencil sharpeners, rulers, and crayons, while high schoolers will get items like dry erase markers, notebooks, pens, and glue sticks.

Meek told TMZ, that he knows all too well what it feels like to come from a struggling family who could never afford the school supplies he needed, “Those memories stay with me and that’s why I’m committed to giving back to families in my hometown, putting smiles on kids’ faces and helping them start the school year on the right note with the right supplies,” he explained.

As if this wasn't enough, it's also rumored that Meek plans on surprising the kids today and personally handing out the backpacks. So dope!
