Nashville ranked 15th in 'Best Places To Live 2019' report

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--U.S. News and World Report has released their list of'Best Places To Live 2019'and Nashville is among the top destinations.

The media company -known for their rankings reports- listed the 125 best places in the country based on five key metrics. The rankings were based on desirability, net migration, quality of life, value, and job market.

Nashville beat out 110 other cities to rank as the 15th best place to live in the country.

Innovation and creativity was cited as one characteristic driving people to Music City. The ranking was led by a high score in desirability (8.3 out of 10), Net Migration (8.3), Value (7.1), Job Market (7.1).

Housing costs above the national average and an average commute time above the national average were two factors which were marks against the city.

Austin, Texas took the #1 overal ranking, followed by Denver, Colorado Springs, Fayetville (AR), Des Moines, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Raleigh/Durham rounding out the Top 10.

LexingtonKnoxville also made the list, ranking 46th and Chattanooga came in at the 55 spot. Memphis also made the list, ranking 118th.
