NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —Daylight Saving Time is right around the corner and despite Tennessee's new Daylight Saving Time law, residents still need to turn their clocks back.
Tennesseans will have to "fall back" and turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Nov. 3.
A Daylight Saving Time law passed in Tennessee earlier this year, which aims to have the state "spring forward" permanently.
However, the law still needs to be passed by Congress in order to make it permanent. For this, Congress will have to amend theUniform Time Act of 1996.
So, even though Tennessee does have a law that aims to keep residents from changing the clocks twice a year - the ultimate decision will be up to the Federal Government.
