Tennessee Governor Declares State of Emergency Over Coronavirus

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee declared a state of emergency today (Thursday) to help the state address the spread of the new coronavirus. Earlier this week he did not believe an emergency declaration was necessary but that changed as the amount of coronavirus cases increased.

According to SOURCE The emergency declaration relaxes rules surrounding assistance from state agencies to affected communities and frees up additional funds.

There is a lot of panick surrounding the virus particularly because of the deaths associated with the virus. The facts are, for most people, the new coronavirus strand causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For others, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia. Majority of people recover from the new virus.
