A premiere date has been set for the Frederick Douglass documentary on HBO. Frederick Douglass: In Five Speeches is set to premiere on February 23 at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max. The documentary features Jonathan Majors, Denzel Whitaker, Jeffrey Wright, and more drawing from 5 of Douglass' memorable speeches from different times in 19th century America and his life. This project is inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by David Blight Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom.
