R. Kelly blasted his former legal team in an affidavit to the judge. Kelly wrote that his lawyers failed to include him in the jury selection process and dismissed any concerns he had about jurors being biased after seeing the “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary. R. Kelly is currently in jail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center while awaiting sentencing. Last September there was a 25-day trial where Kelly was found guilty on all counts by a jury, which included two jurors that Kelly says should’ve never been on the panel due to them seeing the disgracing documentary. Lawyers for Kelly say sentencing in his racketeering case has been postponed until after he faces his federal trial in Chicago for sexual abuse.
