Bill Cosby's Fate Rests With A Jury

The jury in the sexual assault trial against comedian Bill Cosby has started deliberating whether or not he is guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault. In closing arguments on Tuesday, the prosecutors portrayed Cosby as a con artist who preyed on young women. Prosecutor Kristen Feden told the jury that Cosby "is nothing like the image that he played on TV," when he became known as "America's dad" for his role as Dr. Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show.

“The time for the defendant to escape justice is over. It’s finally time for the defendant to dine on the banquet of his own consequences,” prosecutor Stewart Ryan said

Cosby's defense painted the accuser Andrea Constand as "con artist" and "pathological liar" who just wanted to get paid. Cosby's lead attorney Tom Mesereau reminded the jury of twelve discrepancies in Constand's testimony, using a PowerPoint presentation to drive home his point.

"This woman will say anything. She will absolutely say anything. She's a pathological liar," he added.

The fate of Cosby is now in the hands of the seven men and five women of the jury.
