According to some reports from TMZ, it looks like Tekashi wasn't getting any red carpet treatment during his stay in federal lockup. According to some law enforcement officers, several Crips didn't waste any time 'gangsta checking' him.
Apparently this went down at the Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, right after he was denied bail. TMZ reported that during the time he was in the intake area, one inmate walked up on him to see if he was a real gangsta or a wannabe.
The report goes on to say that Tekashi was saved from a beatdown because the prison staff quickly rushed over to intervene the situation.
