Imagine being teased about the way your hair naturally sits. Imagine you being ridiculed for something you cant help. If you are imagining this you are putting yourself in the shoes of a black child and/or woman. Since i can remembered "afros" and other natural hairstyles for black women have often been frowned upon. Whether its in the workplace or in school these hairstyles are something that even California in all of its "free spiritedness" had to make a law so its employers would discriminate against them... in 2019 (let that sink in)
Well also in this very interesting year.. one little girl from Nashville decided to take a stand against such discrimination. Her name.. Promise and after a day of ridicule from her classmates about her hair she decided to take a stand
