Newly unearthed footage of PnB Rock's final moments before he was murdered.
On Tuesday, November 12, True Crime News released its special report that contains never-before-seen video taken inside the restaurant on the day PnB Rock was shot and killed in 2022. In surveillance footage, you can see Rock, born Rakim Allen, and his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang enter the Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles. At the time, people believed that Sibounheuang's Instagram Story gave away their location to Allen's would-be assailants. However, the footage proves it was defendant Tremont Jones who put evil plan in motion.
Jones was the first person to see Allen and Sibounheuang inside the restaurant. He was the man who fist-bumped the rapper as soon as he walked through the door. According to the documentary, Jones made a call to Freddie Trone, who recruited his 17-year-old son to rob Allen of his expensive jewelry. Rock and Sibounheuang spent 40 minutes waiting on their food due to an unspecified delay. During that time, the Trones and Jones cooked up their plan. Video shows the moment when Trone dropped his son off down the street from the restaurant. The young Trone was spotted in a full ski mask as he breezed past Jones and walked into the restaurant.
Once inside, the shooter reportedly demanded Allen to give up his jewelry. Within seconds, Trone shot Allen and immediately removed his jewelry. He also pointed the gun at Sibounheuang and threatened to shoot her unless she gave up her watch. The shooter escaped and hopped into a getaway car where his father and Jones were waiting. They drove away as Allen bled out on the floor. He later passed away at a nearby hospital.
Trone, his son and Jones were later arrested and charged with felony murder and robbery. Trone, Sr. and Jones were convicted following their trial earlier this year. Trone was sentenced to 31 years to life in prison while Jones was sentenced to 12 years behind bars. Freddie Trone's son was found incompetent to stand trial and remains in custody.
