AG is 20-year radio veteran, having been on 101.1 the Beat since its beginning in 2001. In addition to voicing Nights and then Middays for over 10 years, he has served as Beat production director, promotions associate and sales associate.

AG is also a small business owner with over 20 years of experience and achievement, including Jazz & Jokes, WKND Hang Suite (Nashville & Memphis), & Agenda Nightclub. He is also a former non-profit CEO.

As an event planner and marketing consultant, AG has advised clients including universities, non-profit organizations, top Billboard R&B and Jazz musicians, comedians and others.

In addition to business achievements, AG is also recognized as a superb youth advocate and mentor, as well as sought after host/emcee for special events. His involvement has led to service on boards and committees for various civic organizations such as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Urban League Young Professionals, Association for Non-Profit Executives, Young Leaders Council, Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts, and Nashville Youth Alliance. In 2008, AG was appointed by Mayor Karl Dean to his Task Force examining teen dropouts.

AG holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication & theatre and an M.B.A. (Masters of Business Administration) from THE Tennessee State University. His written and verbal communication skills have allowed him to be published in magazines, featured in full-length news articles, and a sought after speaker to youth and adults.

He has 2 children ages 12 years (son, Zy) and 4 years old (daughter, Sian). His wife Leah is a Development Manager/construction engineer for a multi-national firm.
