The Grammys were last night and while I ducked out for an hour to catch The Walking Dead, I've went back and watched most of what I missed. The performances were some of the best that I can recall especially Bruno Mars and Beyonce who both could've easily been considered the night's best. Then, this happened...
YES! My favorite Hip Hop group of all time, A Tribe Called Quest, came out, ROCKED, and said EXACTLY what everyone else was tip toeing around the whole night! Say what you want about Hip Hop, the one thing you cannot argue is it's blunt, direct messaging. Few artists have the guts to take the stage on music's biggest night and openly challenge the President of the United States. And while many other artists have made political statements during The Grammys and events alike in the past, they didn't last night, and Tribe did. And they did it in a way that ONLY Hip Hop artists would. I've been a fan since the 8th grade, and last night made me proud. Thx Tribe!
