If you were holding out hope that the Louisiana Attorney General would do what the Department of Justice did not do in charging Baton Rouge police officers Howie Lake II and Blane Salamoni with the murder of Alton Sterling, then you're disappointed right now, not surprised, but disappointed. The LA. AG will not press charges against the officers, saying:
"This decision was not taken lightly. We came to this conclusion after countless hours of reviewing the evidence.”
He also described the officer's actions as "well found and reasonable." Apparently, the Attorney General and I have completely different views as to what "well found and reasonable" means. Yet again the law tells us it is ok for law enforcement to murder black men and go unpunished. RIP Alton Sterling
