I live in a downtown neighborhood and it's really hard for me to believe that when my wife first moved to Nashville in 2013 we used to meet for lunch on lower Broadway. That was just 6 years ago! We live about a mile and a half away from Nashville's tourist hot spot and we would NEVER be able to meet there for lunch here in 2019. We almost never go down there anymore at all. Going to lower Broad either involves getting stuck behind some kind alcohol infused tourist vehicle, paying way too much for parking, having a bachelorette party looking in your car and hollering "whoooooooo," or some weird combination of all three. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Nashville's growth and I love the fact so many people want to come to our city, but I'm still going to complain. lol
Having said that, if you're already tired of tourism, remember that it's just spring, we're just getting started. Wallethub actually ranked Nashville as the 9th best summer travel destination this year. Prepare accordingly. Full list HERE
