The numbers are in and it looks like the NFL Draft brought Nashville a record $133 million in direct spending. This number was a 79% increase compared to Dallas' 2018 draft which only brought in $74 million.
President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., Butch Spyridon, said the following about the news:
“The 2019 NFL Draft exceeded all expectations. Nashville had record spending, record attendance, record viewership and a record number of credentialed media — the biggest and best NFL Draft ever. The overall success is due to the tremendous spirit of collaboration within the city, including the Tennessee Titans, and our great Metro departments.”
According to the Visitor Corp's survey about the event, 54% of the people that attended the NFL Draft were visitors and 46% were locals.
