Metro Police said an ICE investigation took place Monday morning. ICE representatives called Metro Police around 7:20 a.m. stating they tried to pull over a vehicle that wouldn't stop. That vehicle proceeded into driveway on Forest Ridge Drive in Hermitage. Metro Police's assistance was requested and officers discovered on scene that ICE agents were attempting to serve a detainer. Inside the vehicle was a man and a child.
Once all this was going down, neighbors came together and formed a human chain to surround the the man and the child to make sure they made it inside their home safely.
ICE agents ended up leaving at about 9:45 a.m. when the man was still in the van.
