I didn't make it to the John Merritt Classic this year, I was out of town at a wedding, but apparently, the TSU Aristocrat of Bands played a dope rendition of Lizzo's hit "Truth Hurts." Someone tagged Lizzo in an Instagram story video of the band's performance and not only did Lizzo repost the video in her stories, she got emotional talking about bands, specifically HBCU bands, playing her music.
