U-Haul offers free self-storage to college students affected by coronavirus


U-Haul is offering 30 days of free self-storage to college students who need to move due to coronavirus.

As growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continue to disrupt, the company said it is stepping forward with an offer of goodwill to college students affected in the U.S. and Canada.

he University of Maine System plans to move to online-only classes. Students who paid for room and board charges will be refunded on an "appropriate and prorated basis."

Bowdoin College students will not be allowed to return to campus after spring break. They will finish the semester online.

Colby College will be moving to online-only classes after spring break as well.

The first presumptive positive case ofcoronavirus was reported in Maineon Thursday.
