How Middle TN students can get food while schools are closed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —Multiple Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky school districts are closed due to the spread of novel coronavirus.

Many students rely on free school breakfasts and lunches as their meal and groups are stepping up to make sure kids get fed.

In Nashville, country star Martina McBride is teaming up with OneGen and launched a GoFundMe so a truck can deliver food door-by-door.

CHOW Buses Begin on Monday for Murfreesboro City Schools. The Food Service Program is funded by the USDA and is open to any child birth to eighteen.Click here for information.

In La Vergne, the Fire Rescue Department has teamed up with LifeChurch to provide meals. It's rolling out on Monday. If you need assistance, call the fire department at 615-793-6223 or 615-793-9115 or 616-287-8743. Some volunteers will help make deliveries.
