NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler is donating funds to help the fight against COVID-19 in Nashville and his hometown in Mississippi.
Butler is donating funds to Meharry Medical College in Nashville and funding meals for 600 seniors back in his hometown of Vicksburg, Miss.
According to Pro Football Talk, Butler's mom is a nurse so he knows the struggles healthcare workers are going through while fighting on the front lines against coronavirus.
Outlets report Butler's donation to Meharry will go toward medical supplies like testing kits, gowns, gloves and masks.
Butler is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots who came to the Titans in 2018.
