NBA Shares Approved Social Justice Statements for Players Jerseys

The NBA has approved 29 social justice messages the players can have on the back of their jerseys when the season restarts in Orlando. The messages would go in place of their last name on the back of their jersey. Some of the messages include, Black Lives Matter, Ally, Say Their Names, I Can't Breathe, Justice, Peace, Hear Us, Respect Us, Love Us. The players decided not use the names of those who died out of respect for their families. The players do not have to use the statements, they can just have their last name. They can also opt to have a message along with their last name. A few players did not want the season to restart for fear everyone would "forget" about fighting for social justice and change.
