Beginning on Sept. 1, travelers can no longer go from Concourses A/B to Concourses C/D once they are past the security checkpoint.
BNA says those who go through the wrong checkpoint must exit and be screened again at the correct checkpoint. Here's how the airlines will be split up:
South Terminal:
- Alaska
- Allegiant
- American
- Southwest
North Terminal:
- Air CanadaFrontier
- Boutique AirJet Blue
- British AirwaysSpirit
- Cape AirSun Country
- ChartersUnited
- ContourViva Aerobus
- DeltaWest Jet
It's all part of BNA Vision, a massive construction project that's expected to be complete in the next 5 to 7 years. Projects are conducted in phases.
Last year, the airport garnered an $8.1 billion economic impact, according to a study.
Once construction finishes in 2023, the expanded lobby will include a bigger central security checkpoint, a new concessions marketplace, a pedestrian bridge connecting to a terminal garage, a new International Arrivals Facility and a new look.
