NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —The Metro Arts Board of Commissioners confirmed to FOX 17 News on Monday that informal requests have been made for "Make America Great Again" and "Blue Lives Matter" street murals to be painted in Nashville.

The requests were made after a privately funded"Black Lives Matter" street muralwas painted on Woodland Street in East Nashville over the weekend, sparking outrage and controversary on social media. The temporary BLM mural expires in January, meaning it will have to either be removed or reapplied by organizers.

The Arts Commission tells FOX 17 News all informal requests are reviewed on a continual basis.
