Nashville is set to open the first National Museum of African American Music in 2021. The museum broke ground in 2017 and will be dedicated to honoring the contributions of African Americans in music. Corporate partners TiVo and Under Armour will contribute interactive installments to the museum which will highlight the sounds and styles of today’s biggest artists. The museum will open on Martin Luther King Day with a limited number of visitors due to COVID restrictions.
