I was super excited to sit down with my guests for episode 43 of my podcast. Tequila Johnson and Charlane Oliver are co-founders of The Equity Alliance which unapologetically builds independent black political and economic power. They educate, empower, and mobilize people to take action and keep our government in check and are one of my favorite organizations in all of Nashville. To date, The Equity Alliance has registered 800,000 people to vote in the state of Tennessee, but voter registration is far from everything they do!
