NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —A man was busted with more than 50 pounds of marijuana at the Nashville International Airport (BNA) this week.
Chardric Deontra Brown is charged with with possession with intent to distribute, a felony drug offense.
According to an affidavit, BNA police were called to the TSA area after two suitcases with with vacuum sealed bags of a green leafy substance were discovered on Thursday.
The suitcases, which were later found to belong to Brown, weren't able to be read by the security machine and had to be checked by hand. There were 49 vacuum sealed bags that came in weighing about 51 pounds.
Security footage confirmed Brown brought the bags to the airport and checked them in at the American Airlines ticket counter. He was subsequently arrested.
Brown has since been released from Davidson County Jail.
