With the announcement of Kendrick Lamar’s “Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers” album on the horizon, there are already projections that the project will reach six figures in the first week. Arriving on May 13th the album is expected to move over 350,000 album equivalents according to HITS Daily Double. Lamar received 603,000 during the first-week release of DAMN in 2017, he received 353,000 from traditional album sales and 227,000 from streaming services. “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” Lamar previously wrote last year, when announcing he was in the studio. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”
