A new book from Bernie Sanders's former deputy campaign manager, Ari Rabin-Havt talks about Bernie’s love affair with Cardi B. The two-time presidential nominee sat down with Cardi during his campaign run to discuss issues. “When I asked Bernie, afterward, what the conversation had been about, he told me, ‘Ari, she is so smart. She just understands how to reach out and talk to people. We might understand issues, but she understands communications better than any of us,'” wrote Rabin-Havt about the exchange between Cardi and Sanders. "Bernie did not do what most politicians do in these situations: he did not pretend to be hip," the former SiriusXM The Agenda host added. “Cardi did not, however, attempt to be a political commentator. They were two people who were exchanging messages with their fellow citizens." The book titled, The Fighting Soul: On the Road with Bernie Sanders, is out now.
