Mystikal is in a Louisiana jail on rape, robbery, and strangulation charges. The rapper, whose real name is Michael Lawrence Tyler, was booked at the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office and is awaiting arraignment. He was arrested on Sunday (July 31) at 12:50 p.m. Mystikal was charged with felony first-degree rape, simple robbery, domestic violence battery, and strangulation. False imprisonment and criminal damage are additional charges. All the violations occurred at 9:21 a.m. Sunday. This isn’t the first time Mystikal has found himself in trouble. He served six years in prison after pleading guilty to a sexual battery charge in 2003. He was released in 2010. Then in 2016, he was accused of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, but the investigation was closed in 2020.
