Ever since Queen Latifah went down in a blaze of glory in “Set If Off,” getting killed off at the end of the movie, the actress put a “no death” clause in her contracts. “I put a death clause in my contract right after that movie,” she told Seth Myers at the time. “I was like, wait a minute, I’m starting to die too good in these movies, and if I die, I can’t be in the sequel.” The film made $41 million on a $9 million budget. Latifah has since gone on star in CBS’ The Equalizer.
