Many fans, especially Nicki’s “Barbzs,” took offense, shooting comments back at Missy, aiming at her career, calling the “Get Ur Freak On” rapper “jealous.” Missy responded by saying the question stemmed from a conversation she was having with a producer friend, who said it's really about preference. Missy reminded trolls that she was coming from a “positive place.”
