Cardi B testified Wednesday in an album cover case. Kevin Brophy claims his back tattoo was photoshopped onto the model on the Gangsta B**ch Vol. 1 album cover to make it appear he had a tattoo. Cardi's 2016 album cover shows her drinking beer with a man's head between her thighs. Billboard says the model between his legs agreed to the shot. A graphic designer later searched "back tattoos" on Google Images and superimposed Brophy's tattoo onto the model. Brophy sued Cardi in 2017 for using his likeness without permission, breaching his privacy, and putting him in a "false light" that he found "extremely offensive." Brophy testified Tuesday that the cover caused him "hurt and shame." Cardi explained there are no similarities between the men, telling the court that the model used for the cover is black and had hair, while Brophy is white and his head is shaved. Kevin Brophy is suing Cardi for $5 million.
