On December 22, Gucci's artist “Scarr” died at 22. He overdosed on prescription tablets at his girlfriend's Memphis, Tennessee, home. Quezz Ruthless, Scarr's close friend and collaborator, slammed Guwop on Instagram Live over the weekend for reportedly offering to pay for his former signee's funeral and then ghosting his family. Quezz criticized Gucci for ghosting Scarr’s family following his death. The 1017 Records CEO told the family that his wife, Keyshia K’oair’s birthday was coming up and he couldn’t pay for the funeral. “Man, y’all rich! Y’all can celebrate her birthday any day. Come on now, cuh,” Quiz said during the live video. It was also said that Gucci asked the family for Scarr’s 1017 chains to be returned, which the family has refused to do.
