This mom just wrote the saddest facebook post ever about losing her son, 4 year old Nolan, to cancer. She explains that this loss for her was so heart wrenching that it took her a whole two months to even gather up the strength to write about and share his last few days on earth.
Nolan fought long and hard, for his mommy, she explains..and when she found out he had been fighting for her this whole time, she told him that it was okay, and he didn't have to fight anymore..and he soon after finally let go and was at peace.
The sad part?? His mom, who never left his side, left him for 2 minutes to shower, and while she was gone he fell into a deep sleep, a coma. The only thing that brought him out of it was her rushing to his side and rubbing his cheek, she thought he was gone. SURPRISE! Nolan woke up from his coma to tell mommy he loved her, and then fell back in.
And that was it.
Nolan was gone.
I don't know Nolan, or his mom, but I still cried my eyes out and my heart broke for her. He was still a baby and had so much life left!
You don't have to be a mommy to read this and feel so awful, but if you are a mommy (or daddy), this will hit you even harder.
