There has been so much craziness going on in Flint, Michigan these past few years it's insane that it has even dragged on this long. That they would allow their water to be contaminated for THIS long!

Today, charges against new and former state and local officials have been annoucned by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette via Twitter.

The officials presided over a failure to maintain the safety of the city’s water supply, resulting in widespread lead poisoning among Flint children and 12 deaths connected to an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease.

He continued tweeting, "Mr. Lyon failed in his responsibilities to protect the health and safety of citizens of Flint."

"After allegedly being informed of the growing legionella situation in Flint, Nick Lyon failed to inform the public of this health threat."

"This threat cost the life of Robert Skidmore."

"During the investigation of the Flint Water Crisis, Wells allegedly attempted to withhold funding for programs designed to help victims.", Schuette tweeted, also adding that she lied to an investigator about material facts related to the investigation.

Howard Croft, former Director of the Flint Department of Public Works, Liane Shekter-Smith, former Chief of Drinking Water & Municipal Assistance at MDEQ, and Darnell Earley, former Emergency Manager for the City of Flint, all previously charged..have also been additionally charged with an additional felony of Involuntary Manslaughter related to the death of Robert Skidmore.
