Kim has made it clear that she wants more children. I mean she does come from a big family so naturally she would want a big family of her own right? However, it's not looking so easy for her..as her previous pregnancies with North & Saint came with some major complications.
With North, Kim suffered from a condition called placenta accreta that occurs when blood vessels and other portions of the placenta grow in or past the uterine wall, preventing it from properly detaching at the time of birth. The condition can cause premature delivery and other complications for the mother as well as the baby.
She also had some complications and major pain carrying Saint, and doctors advised for her safety and health to NOT get pregnant again as it would be VERY dangerous. So now she's got a problem right? How can she expand her family without being able to carry out a pregnancy?
Well, when you got that money many problems can be solved.
SURROGACY!
She of course asked her sister Khloe as we saw on KUWTK, but she politely declined as she kind of just got into a serious relationship with Tristan Thompson. Still, Kim was determined to figure out a way to have another baby. She said the experience she went through with the Paris robbery made her even more eager to expand her family for her children's sake.
“I’d just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that’s safe,” she said. “And if for some reason I left this earth sooner than I really wanted to, then my kids would have a support system at home so that I know that they would be okay if I wasn’t there.”
Now, according to TMZ the couple has found a surrogate through an agency and a deal has been made. The West’s have agreed to cough up $45,000 in 10 monthly installments. If there is more than one child, the surrogate will receive an additional $5,000 for each. If there are any complications and the surrogate loses reproductive organs, she will receive $4,000. In addition, the couple will have to drop a $68,850 deposit with the agency.
According to TMZ, the agreement also prohibits the surrogate from participating in any activities that may harm the baby. She will also have to forego sexual intercourse for six weeks, three weeks before the pregnancy and three weeks following embryo implantation. In addition, the couple will “assume the legal and parental responsibilities for any child…that may possess any congenital or other abnormalities or defects,” the agreement states.
PAUSE. Did you say $45k a month for 10 months?
