Snoop Dogg Joins Kaepernick's Million Dollar Pledge!

posted by Lizette Love -

Colin Kaepernick first announced the Million Dollar Pledge back in Sept 2016. He promised to donate to difference charities that cater to helping oppressed communities, and he has done just that at every given opportunity. Other big names have also donated to the Million Dollar Pledge like Steph Curry, Jesse Willimas, Kevin Durant, and most recently, everyone's favorite O.G. Uncle Snoop!

Colin broke it down on his Instagram page, “It’s no secret that Uncle @snoopdogg…still finds time to give back to the Community in so many ways. Like a true OG, Uncle Snoop didn’t even flinch when I reached out to him about being part of my #MillionDollarPledge. Snoop and I are each donating $10,000 for a total of $20,000 to Mother’s Against Police Brutality.”

It’s no secret that Uncle @snoopdogg has transcended into global mega-stardom and even though he’s busier than ever, our brother still finds time to give back to the Community in so many ways. Like a true OG, Uncle Snoop didn’t even flinch when I reached out to him about being part of my #MillionDollarPledge. Snoop and I are each donating $10,000 for a total of $20,000 to Mother’s Against Police Brutality. Mothers Against Police Brutality (MAPB) formed to unite mothers who have lost their children to police violence. MAPB is the new voice for justice for victims of police brutality and deadly force. They are a multi-racial, multi-ethnic coalition uniting mothers nationwide to fight for civil rights, police accountability, and policy reform. With such an alarmingly disproportionate number of African American and Hispanic men and women killed by police, it’s obvious why Snoop chose this organization. Thank you, Uncle Snoop for everything that you have done, and have yet to do, in entertainment as well as the community. Much continued success to you my brother. Then maybe just an hour or so later, Kaepernick took to Instagram once again to announce that Snoop wasn't done..and added MORE to his donation, a whole $15 more! Bringing Colin & Snoop's donation to a total of $35k!

‪✊🏾#10for10 @snoopdogg donated MORE MONEY to my #MillionDollarPledge! He loves the work Mothers Against Police Brutality is doing so much, he donated another $15k. Now they're getting a total of $35k! Thank you Snoop for recognizing the good work they do! Go to kaepernick7.com!‬
