Kanye West made a guest appearance this morning on WGCI in Chicago, where of course, his slave comment was brought front & center. While talking to Kendra G., she explained, "from my point of view, and this may be a selfish point of view, I always want you to speak for black people," we then see Kanye give a response, explaining that he's sorry for the comments made towards slavery, towards black people, what he learned from the experience, and recognized that he never properly apologized for his comment.
"I'm sorry for hurting..I'm sorry for the 1, 2 effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment, uh and, I'm sorry for people who felt let down by that moment, and also I appreciate you guys giving me the opportunity to talk to you about the way I was thinking and what I was going through. I just appreciate you guys for holding on to me as a family."

Fans are pointing out that he still has not apologized for his comment, he is more so apologizing for how his comment made people feel. Is it important to get a point blank period apology for the comment itself?
