$2 Trillion Dollar Stimulus Bill Approved, Who Gets a Check and When?

The Senate has officially approved an historic $2 Trillion stimulus bill to help those in need during the Coronavirus outbreak. This will impact workers, employers and the healthcare system. The bill includes an expansion of unemployment benefits and a $367 billion program to help small businesses, plus direct payments to Americans. Larger industries, hospitals and local governments will also receive loans.

The big question is, which Americans are eligible to receive funds?

The bill includes payments of $1200 for single adults, $2400 for married couples, and $500 for each child under the age of 17. If you earn less than $75,000 per year will qualify which makes up about 90 percent of Americans. If you earn more than $75,000 per year the payments will be reduced.

Payments will be sent out anywhere from two to six weeks and those who filed taxes electronically may receive their funds quicker.
