While some American should start seeing stimulus checks in two weeks, this is unfortunately not the case for all. The IRS says some residents will likely have to wait as long as 20 weeks before they arrive.
The quickest way to receive your money is to have filed a 2019 or 2018 tax return with direct deposit information. If you do not have direct deposit information listed on your tax return, you may not see your stimulus check until August. It is reported that paper checks will be mailed out starting the week of May 4th however, the IRS can process only five million per week. That means it will take approximately five months to get all of them mailed
Also, those who have the lowest income will receive their checks first, beginning on or about April 13th.
