Heartbreaking video shows Dartavius Barnes handcuffed in the back of a squad car when police confront him with his daughter’s ashes that they mistook for drugs. Barnes is heard immediately asking the cylinder back, letting the officers know that despite a positive test, the ashes are actually his daughter’s cremated ashes. It’s very hard to watch. Barnes is now suing the Springfield Police Department in Illinois. See video below.
