It's about dag on time!!! After more than 200 attempts, Congress is finally passing a bill to make lynching a federal crime. The Emmett Till Antilynching Act of 2022, which passed the House in a 422-3 vote last week, saw the Senate vote come with no objections. It will now make its way to the desk of President Biden for final approval.
The legislation is named in honor of 14-year-old Emmett Till, who was brutally murdered in a racist attack in Mississippi in 1955.
