Bobby Brown Talks Domestic Violence Foundation In Honor of Bobbi Kristina

Bobby Brown is a musical legend who had it all the family, money, fame, and anything else you could think of. Sadly, on July 26, 2015, his daughter Bobbi Kristina passed away from domestic violence. In the midst of their grieving, Bobby and his wife Alicia started a non-profit in Bobbi Kristina's honor. It's called the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House. Their mission is to "provide 24-hour crisis intervention, emergency transitional shelter, access to resources/referral services, and advocacy for social change with expert support services for victims and survivors of domestic violence."

The number of people who are victims of domestic violence is at pandemic levels. Bobby says since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the numbers are even higher. He also wants to break the stigma of 'not snitching' when you know a loved one is being mistreated by their lover. By telling the authorities, you could save a life. The crew was also surprised to hear the rates of male victims due to domestic violence, it's not widely talked about and that needs to change too.

If you or a loved one is dealing with a domestic violence situation, call the free 24/7 Bobbi Kristina Serenity House Hotline, (888) 444-BKSH. You can also visit the website to donate or attend upcoming events to benefit the non-profit here.
