Entertainment News: Bad Boys Shines, Diddy Cut, Caitlin Cool with Team USA

The number one movie in America is "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, which has grossed $104 million worldwide. Fans had speculated that Will Smith's career might be over after his scandal two years ago, when he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards. However, according to People Magazine, a source in the film industry says Will "has had plenty of time to reflect on his life and is doing well" now. "Things are really great between Will and Jada."

Moving on to Martin Lawrence, the actor wants fans to stop spreading rumors about his health. In a recent radio interview, he said, "I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed. I’m healthy as hell. Stop the rumors!"

In other entertainment news, Howard University has cut ties with Sean "Diddy" Combs. The HBCU announced that its board of trustees voted to return the honorary degree bestowed upon Diddy in 2014. Officials stated, "Mr. Combs' behavior as captured in a recently released video is fundamentally incompatible with Howard University's core values and beliefs. The University is unwavering in its opposition to all acts of interpersonal violence." Additionally, the Board has directed the administration to terminate a 2016 gift agreement with Diddy, disband the scholarship program in his name, return his $1 million contribution, and terminate a 2023 pledge agreement with the Sean Combs Foundation.

The 2024 Olympics are set to begin in just under two months in Paris. This past weekend, Team USA Women’s Basketball roster was released, and Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were not on the list. Despite the roster's talent, many questioned whether Team USA made a mistake by snubbing Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Caitlin released a statement saying, "I'm excited for the girls that are on the team. I know it's the most competitive team in the world, and it could have gone either way — me being on the team or not. I'm going to be rooting them on to win gold."
