The National Hurricane Center downgraded the severity of Irma to a tropical storm on Monday. However, they noted the storm is “still producing some wind gusts to near hurricane force.” The NHC stated that Irma’s center was about 30 miles northeast of Cedar Key, Florida and that the storm was producing 70 mph winds.
Here in Nashville the winds are supposed to get to about 30-40 mph, and Fisk closed classes at 3pm and classes due to the winds
