50 Cent and DJ Khaled's issues stem from the New York rapper's high-profile beef with Fat Joe. At the time, Fif took aim at Joe for working with his arch-nemesis Ja Rule on songs like "What's Luv?" and "New York." 50 Cent and Fat Joe's beef escalated at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards where they reportedly traded shots while onstage together, which led to a shouting match between G-Unit and Terror Squad backstage.

Khaled, who was affiliated with Terror Squad at the time, followed suit and dissed G-Unit member Tony Yayo while he was promoting his record "So Seductive" in Miami. Yayo opened up about the incident during his appearance on Drink Champs in 2023, and Khaled confirmed what happened while speaking to Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay a few months later.

"I’ve always been somebody that showed love, but when they told me [Yayo] was coming up I was like, ‘Wow,'" Khaled recalled. “You know, him and my man don’t get along. [Fat Joe] is my brother, for real. I was just saying to myself, ‘This is gonna be hard for me’ because if I would have completely embraced him, I probably wouldn’t have been able to sleep at night. And if I did, I would have called [Fat Joe] immediately like, ‘This is what happened.’ That’s how much I care.”

“By the way, it’s all love now,” he added. “Everybody’s all love now. I have no problem with nobody. I wanna make that clear. I love everyone. That was when we were younger. He did come shake my hand. I told him, ‘I can’t do that.’ I just told him I couldn’t do it."

50 Cent and Fat Joe put their differences behind them a few years ago and praised one another on separate occasions. Now it's clear that it's all love between everyone involved.
