WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy organization founded by Julian Assange  released thousands of documents, dated from 2013 to 2016, that it said described sophisticated software tools used by the Central Intelligence Agency to break into smartphones, computers and even Internet-connected televisions (SmartTVs).

The release of the documents, which appear to be authentic according to The New York Times, could be a serious blow to the C.I.A., which maintains its own hacking capabilities to be used for espionage.
