The shut down, which began in December, occurred when Trump and The United States Congress could not agree on a legislation to appropriate federal funds to pay for #Trump’s highly sought after border wall.
9 executive departments with around 800,000 employees had to shut down partially or in full, affecting about 1/4 of government activities and causing employee furloughs.Trump announced Friday afternoon that he would endorse a funding package that would re-open the government until February 15th.
