An NBA card featuring late Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been sold for $2 million, the seller has revealed. The card -- a 1997–98 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Emerald -- was purchased Tuesday by a private investor, according to PWCC Marketplace. The sale sets a new record for Bryant cards, PWCC reports. "This is arguably Kobe’s best card in existence," says PWCC director Jesse Craig. "It’s difficult to find them in any condition -- and because of their delicate nature, to find one in such good condition is incredibly rare." Although the card is among only 10 known to exist, Sports Collector's Digest's Jeff Owens says the high selling price is unusual because the item isn't a rookie card and hasn't been signed by Bryant. Even if you had the money, would you spend $2 million on a tiny card?
